They removed 5g of protein (33%) from product

Been buying this cereal for years because of its 15g of protein. They have decided to remove 5g of protein so it’s 10g instead and for some reason the cereal is not 33% cheaper. It’s the same price. Check the pictures for the old nutrition facts vs the new. Way to lose yourself a customer, congrats!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Love the macros and the taste

The High Protein Special K has good macros without the protein powder taste. It is cruncher than regular Special K and has a nuttier flavor. The portion size on the nutrition list is 1/3 of a cup larger than the 1 cup norm, so keep that in mind when comparing it to other cereals (see pic). It has less sugar and more protein than the Red Berries K, but the rest of the numbers are close at the 1 cup serving size. I appreciate the lower sugar, and definitely can see adding this to my morning with some fresh fruit mixed in. I would also mix it together with the red berries one. Definitely give it a try. I appreciate getting to sample this one as it's a good one.

Lack of Transparency in the name of Greed

Went from 15 grams of protein to 10 grams of protein without telling people all in order to make more money on your “high protein” cereal at 20 grams a serving. So, a 33% cut in protein for a 33% mark up/ cash gain in your “high protein” cereal?!?! No thank you!!!!! Better, easier and cheaper ways to get the 15 or even 20 grams of protein!!!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not sweet and ok flavor.

For a healthy cereal it is not that bad. It has a slightly sweet taste it’s very subtle and you can taste the cinnamon. It did not get too soggy in the milk either because it’s very crunchy. I also liked that it doesn’t have a ton of ingredients. My kids weren’t crazy about but I thought it was ok.

Sweet Cinnamon Protein Cereal

I received Special K Protein cereal at no cost from Influenster, in exchange for my honest review. On it's own, a serving of this cereal boasts 10 grams of protein, with milk it is 17 grams! There is a slight sweet cinnamon taste. The protein comes from soy protein isolate. My kids happily ate it. I have one kid that is picky about meat proteins, so this cereal was a great substitution and they all ate their entire bowl of cereal. The cost is a little more than other cereals, but those cereals don't have the same amount of protein, and usually have added sugars, artificial colors and flavors. I wish the texture was a little more crunchy, but I would repurchase.

Decreased protein in recipe deceptively

I used to buy this every week bc it was high in protein with dairy milk. They recently changed the recipe from 15 gm protein per serve to 10 grams and just eliminated the section on the front of the box advertising it as such. This is deceptive and it no longer fits my dietary needs. They also didn't decrease the cost to make up for the decreased protein.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Just enough sweetness, with a cinnamon touch!

The Kellogg’s Special K Protein 10 grams (Original Multi-Grain Touch of Cinnamon) was nice! The flakes had just enough sweetness to them, they were just right. The cinnamon touch made it delicious! I eat cereal on occasion, I’m more of a bagel or hot cereal or granola gal. However, after reviewing this cereal, I will be more inclined to put it in my shopping cart every once in awhile! It was really good!
