Kellogg’s® Krave® Churro

I was recently given a complimentary box of Kellogg’s new Krave Cinnamon Sugar Churro cereal in exchange for my honest review. Thank you to Influenster and Kellogg’s! I received a family-sized box, but it’s not really something that I would serve to the kiddos for breakfast— with 13 grams of sugar in a one Cup serving, that’s about 3x the sugar than my normal breakfast cereal choices. I did find, however, that a handful of dry cereal (about 10 pieces) totally satisfies my after dinner sweet tooth. The crispy, cinnamon-strong exterior delivers a satisfying crunch, while the chocolate inside is much more subtle. I don’t recommend it in a bowl with milk. The exterior became loose and soggy very quickly, and it was cloyingly sweet. If you like your cereal sweet, this may work for you.

Kellogg’s Krave Cinnamon Sugar Churro cereal is a perfect combo of sugary cinnamon with a hint of chocolate. The texture has just enough crunch but still soft enough that they melt in your mouth. The chocolate is not overwhelming and the cinnamon is not overpowering. I liked these more than expected and eat them as a snack by themselves. They are addictive! I love churros with chocolate dipping sauce so these were a hit with me! I took off a star because they do tend to get soggy quickly with milk but since I enjoy them without it isn’t an issue for me. I think they make a great snack and travel well. Love the taste combo! If you are a fan of churros and chocolate you will love this cereal.

We enjoyed the cereal. My kids have been wanting to try them for a while now they’re always sold out. They actually taste like churros just softer.

The Cinnamon Churro Krave cereal is a hit in my house! It’s made of a crispy multigrain shell that’s dusted with cinnamon sugar flavor and in the middle is chocolate. We loved how crispy it was and that it didn’t automatically get soggy from the milk. The chocolate in the middle was the perfect amount and didn’t overpower the cinnamon flavor, they complement each other very well. I like that the outer shell is multigrain so it’s not as unhealthy as other cereals. This will definitely be a staple in our home as long as it is available!

This cereal tastes great, but it doesn’t really deliver on the churro promise. There's barely any cinnamon sugar flavor, and it just tastes like the regular Krave cereal with a chocolate center. Still, it's crunchy, sweet, and satisfying if you're craving something chocolatey. The pieces also look lighter than the churro color shown on the box. On the plus side, it’s not too heavy on calories (150 per cup) and has decent macros. Solid for snacking or a sweet breakfast, just don’t expect a true churro vibe.

I don't shy away from a sweet cereal. Given the opportunity to taste a new enticing-flavor-combo cereal got my attention. Krave is meant to evoke the sweet flavors of cinnamon churro filled with a bit of chocolate. I received this product compliments of Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I tried the cereal dry out of the box and it was good: the first bite didn't have much of either sweet treat, but the second bite lived up to the description. I prepared a bowl with milk and by the time I made it to the table, the cereal had softened quite a bit. I was fine with that texture but felt overall that the flavor is a bit muted when paired with milk. I do think Krave would be a nice addition to an ice cream sundae or really satisfying right out of the bag. The flavors could satisfy that chocolate chip cookie craving that comes around (daily).

I received this product for free in exchange for my unbiased and honest review. Krave cereal isn’t terrible but wont be a breakfast option that my kids gravitate towards. Overall, the cereal is really dry in texture and the initial few bites were not really enjoyable, but the product name is fitting because after a few bites it was hard to stop eating it. As far as this flavor goes, we couldn’t detect a chocolate center. It was very cinnamon forward which was fine for my family. However, if you’re looking for a cinnamon and chocolate combo this product does not deliver on that. The ingredients also aren’t great, I wish it was a cleaner product. BUT, it is better overall health wise than other cereals on the market. Overall, it was a mediocre breakfast experience. I definitely won’t go out of my way to buy this product, but if it’s around or offered to me I would eat it again.
