More suitable for AI & plants, not loyal customers

Kashi once made a beloved Toasted Berry Crisp cereal; praised for its perfect balance of crunch, sweetness, protein, and fiber. Then, without explanation, Kashi Sales LLC of Battle Creek, Michigan, discontinued it 2025 and replaced it with something resembling the potting mix I keep for Monsteras and palms with boxes that clearly show 2024 copyright. A quick Google search confirms I’m not alone: nobody is pleased with this decision. The only plausible conclusion is that Kellogg cut costs, fired the humans, and asked an AI chatbot to design the new formula. The AI's response? “To reduce costs, it is crucial to replace cereal grains with Miracle—Gro potting mix (see Nutrition Science Quarterly, 2027). Add robust cranberries to simulate holistic berry content. Furthermore, downsize the box to preserve comprehensive margins while seamlessly maintaining consumer expectations.”

No, I do not recommend this product.

Tasty

I received this cereal in exchange for my honest review. I am dieting and trying to get the proper amount of protein and fiber in my diet. I have found that most products either have protein or fiber, not both. This cereal has 10g of both and I was so excited to try it! The mixed berry has small dried berries that taste like blueberries and cranberries. Over all the taste was really good, a hint of sweet but not overpowering, a bit of special with every berry bite. I tried the cereal in a bowl with milk and on top of yogurt. Personally I liked it better on the yogurt and will definitely continue eating it this way. In the milk I found that the cereal stayed really crunchy which could be a pro for some people but it wasn't for me. I took a star off for that and because some of the pieces were much larger than bitesize. In yogurt or milk that was an issue.

Love this!!

Omgoodness, the flavor of this cereal is AMAZING!! As soon as I opened the bag, I could smell the aroma of berries..yummy! It has cranberries and blueberries inside but I do wish there would have been more. In my bowl of cereal, which was pretty small, I only had one blueberry and a couple tiny pieces of cranberry. The taste makes up for it though. It contains 10 grams of both protein and fiber which is great! The crunch of the cereal is also great, my cereal sat in almond milk for a few minutes and it didn’t get soggy at all! This Kashi GO cereal is highly recommended by me!!

Delightful cereal to eat with protein & fiber

The Kashi GO Protein & Fiber Mixed Berry Crunch cereal was a delight to eat. Made with plant protein, multigrain clusters, blueberries and cranberries. This NON-GMO cereal has 10g of plant based protein,10g of fiber and 12g of whole grains per serving. With about 19g in total of sugar it does not taste overly sweet. The sweetness tastes like it is from the blueberries and cranberries. The cereal has a nice crunchy texture and fresh berry flavor, and I love the added protein & fiber. I do wish cereal bags were resealable to keep the food fresh and prevent it from getting stale. I mixed this with my coconut milk, and it was a delight to eat. I received this complimentary from Kashi in exchange for my honest opinion.

Keeps texture in milk

Let me start by saying that this cereal holds its crunchiness even after you pour the milk. The little clusters really do their job. It is lightly sweetened and the cranberries refresh your pallet. The blueberries taste like blueberry flavored dried cranberries. The box is also on the thin side so it lets very little space.

Delicious, healthier, and filling!!!!

This cereal is absolutely delicious! I love it! I found it to be very filling with a cup serving size. The texture is crunchy and holds up well in (coconut) milk. The blueberries tasted like actual fresh blueberries not artificial. Also, while the blueberry flavor was there, it was not overpowering. I had hesitations that this would be good, but I love it! While the price is a deterrent, I was full off of a smaller amount than with usual cereals. If you have soft teeth, you may need to break up larger clusters. This works great as a ‘granola’ topping for yogurt!!! I will definitely be keeping this on hand because it’s filling and delicious! Highly recommended if you want an excellent quality, healthier option!

Miss Toasted Berry Crisp!

Like so many reviewers, this product is nit a good replacement for the Toasted Berry Crisp. I consumed the Crisp cereal for many years usually 5 to 6 days a week. Looking for a new cereal now, but this product will not be it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
