Our Story & Timeline
W.K. Kellogg founded our company in February 1906, 118 years ago. Our company’s esteemed founder was an early conservationist, a leading philanthropist, and the original wellbeing visionary. Motivated by a passion for people, quality and innovation, he discovered toasted flakes cereal and shaped an entire industry. Those toasted flakes became world-famous as Kellogg’s Corn Flakes®. Find out more about us, our foods, and how we're making everyday moments gr-r-reat and have been for more than a century by exploring the timeline or viewing our journey of cereal below.

THE NEW BREAKFAST CEREAL Kellogg's Corn Pops It's already sweetened • Ready for milk or cream NET WEIGHT 8 OUNCES Created by Kellogg People- as New Service to Mothers Battle Creek, 1950-Corn Pops, the sweet, crispy, ready-to-eat cereal that has already become a top favorite with the world's two best customers: America's mothers (who are the breakfast chefs) and the children who are the breakfast eaters. Just the "Heart" of the Corn The plumpest, sun-ripe hearts of milled corn —the part loaded with sweet corn juices—are first slowly preroasted and sealed in their rich, sunny flavor. Then they're tenderly deep-puffed to a crisp crunch, by steadily controlled manufacture—not intermittently puffed, like popcorn—thereby releasing the natural sweetness of corn without the addition of sugar. —That sweetness is already in it! EACH crunchy kernel of Corn Pops is all energy; even total fat-free Corn Pops is the fuel for nutrition to build strong bodies and minds. A delicious tasting form of carbohydrates and energy for you every day. Crisp, flattened puffs absorb less liquid and the resulting low calorie content is useful to keep down weight worries. The children who eat it will not care to "skip" their morning times when they sample Corn Pops. LICENSED BY KELLOGG COMPANY UNDER PAT. NOS. 1, 145, 474; 1, 185, 497.
